Does Obsession Have a Post-Credits Scene at the End?

Eager to know whether Obsession features a post-credits scene? Directed by Curry Barker, the supernatural horror movie follows Bear, a music store employee who comes across a toy called “One Wish Willow” that grants a wish once it is broken. Bear uses the magical toy to make his childhood crush fall in love with him. However, he remains unaware that such wishes come at an evil price and carry serious consequences. With the movie scheduled to be released soon, many viewers are wondering whether they should stay for a bonus scene.

Is there a mid- or post-credits scene at the end of Obsession?

There are no post, mid, or end-credits scenes in Obsession. Viewers can exit the theaters once the credits begin to roll worry-free.

Typically, credit scenes are used as an effective way to resolve plot queries or to tease a sequel. Some franchises also use it to build anticipation or to hint at a character’s return in future installments. However, in Obsession’s case, the film appears to be self-contained and has no loose ends. A sequel isn’t announced either. If it were to happen, they would first evaluate its box office performance and audience reception before deciding its fate.

In a conversation with GamesRadar+, Barker revealed that there are plans for Obsession 2, but it might not be in a sequel format, but episodic. He said, “But no, obviously I have a couple more things that I’m excited about next, but I do see Obsession 2 maybe, or even… What really is exciting to me [would be doing] an anthology, like a one-hour episode.”

He elaborated that he plans to dedicate each episode to a different wish and how it goes awry. ” Maybe I’ll direct the pilot with the same DP, and then you could invite other filmmakers to give their spin at it. That would be really cool,” he added, expressing his interest in collaborating with other makers.
