Zendaya’s The Drama Plot Twist Predicted? Fans Certainly Believe That

The Drama has dropped its first trailer, teasing a major twist that Zendaya’s Emma has been withholding from Robert Pattinson’s Charlie. While the video did not delve into the exact mystery that Zendaya’s character shielded from her fiancé, fans believe that a social media post from earlier may be the key to the big revelation.

Fans think they’ve figured out The Drama’s dark twist

The Drama focuses on a happily engaged couple, whose wedding goes off the rails when an unexpected secret surfaces right before the big day. The trailer for the film teased as much, without revealing the exact thing that Emma (Zendaya) is hiding.

Meanwhile, fans have speculated that the character’s secret could be a past affair, a criminal record, or a taboo experience. However, one theory that is rapidly gaining momentum among fans is a particular story from Reddit from three years ago.

Posted by the now-deleted account of u/Hot_Relation899, the story (supposed to be based on a true one) chronicles how a woman stalked and arranged “coincidences” in a way that she met her future husband and eventually got married to him.

The post, titled “I stalked my husband for two years before I formally met him,” describes how a woman who first saw a man in her school freshman year, stalked him meticulously. She then arranged circumstances in a way that they “naturally” met, eventually fell in love, and tied the knot.

The user claimed to have met the man in her junior year of school and later applied to the same city where he went for his job. They met again there and eventually began dating. She ultimately came clean to her husband after feeling the weight of the guilt for years. Consequently, he felt cheated and filed for divorce.

While there is no evidence that The Drama features something similar yet, this seems to be a theory that has interested fans enough. Of course, other possibilities still exist, and it will only be clear after the film is out.

Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, The Drama premieres in theaters on April 3, 2026, in theatres.
