Avatar: Fire and Ash Post-Credits Scene: Is There a Scene at the End?

Fans are wondering whether Avatar: Fire and Ash offers a post-credits scene. Moviegoers often expect to get some additional footage, especially in superhero movies or big franchise installments. Does Avatar 3 follow the trend as well?

Here are all the details.

Does Avatar: Fire and Ash have a mid or post-credits scene at the end?

No, Avatar: Fire and Ash does not feature a mid, end, or post-credits scene.

Multiple reports have confirmed that there is no additional footage in the film for fans to look out for. The movie already clocks in at almost 3.5 hours of running time, the longest in the franchise. Moviegoers are free to leave their seats as soon as the credits begin rolling.

With more sequels in talks, there had been expectations of a teaser clip at the end. Although Avatar 4’s production has already begun, there is a chance that the planned installments won’t make it to the big screen.

In a recent appearance on The Town with Matthew Belloni podcast, director James Cameron gave some updates on Avatar 4 and 5. He confirmed that filming for the new movies will not continue if Avatar: Fire and Ash does not succeed at the box office.

The Avatar movies are known for their groundbreaking visual effects, which come with massive production costs. Fire and Ash’s budget has reportedly crossed a whopping $400 million. So, for the studio to officially greenlight the sequel, Avatar 3 will have to make some encouraging box office returns.

“It is one metric f— ton of money, which means we have to make two metric f— tons of money to make a profit,” Cameron said. “I have no doubt in my mind that this movie will make money. The question is, does it make enough money to justify doing it again?”

The director then stated that he is ready to let the franchise go if Fire and Ash fails to make the desired box office returns. The movie comes out in theaters on December 19, 2025.
