Has Victoria been canceled or renewed for Season 4?
Back then, ITV chose not to renew Victoria for Season 4. However, it left the possibility open to revisit the story in the future.
Victoria Season 3 concluded on a cliffhanger, leaving room for future stories. In the final moments, the Great Exhibition, a global celebration of industrial, technological, and artistic achievements, ends successfully at London’s Crystal Palace. Victoria and Albert share an embrace before the latter collapses.
Over two years after Season 3’s premiere, ITV announced that there are currently no plans to film another installment. “There are no plans presently to film Victoria, but that’s not to say we won’t revisit the series with the production team at a later date,” ITV stated. (via Radio Times)
Before ITV confirmed Season 4’s cancellation, lead actress Jenna Coleman shared that the series was taking a break and they’re figuring out which stories were worth exploring next. She said in Graham Norton’s Radio 2 show, “We don’t know yet. It’s definitely going to take a break, bit of a breather and then we’re working out… there’s a lot of conversations, do you start at the Crimean War, or do you start later? Previously, writer Daisy Goodwin also revealed what she would potentially like to explore if another season were to happen and whether it could move forward with a similar cast. She said, “I know where the series is going; it’s all there. I think series four is going to be amazing.
