General Hospital‘s Willow Tait has yet to prove her innocence in Drew Cain’s recent attempted murder. Actress Katelyn MacMullen has now shared why her character is being cordial with Drew despite their current tense dynamic.
Katelyn MacMullen says Willow needs ‘all the help she can get’ on General Hospital
In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen opened up about her character Willow’s impending peril. Despite things “not looking good” for her, Willow now has Alexis as a lawyer to rely on. She has promised Willow that she will help her prove her innocence. However, Alexis wouldn’t have come in contact with Willow if it weren’t for Drew himself.
“She’s so defenseless at this point, and she needs help. She needs all the help she can get,” MacMullen stated. “I think it’s a ‘keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer’ kind of thing for her,” the actress explained.
MacMullen agreed that Willow has no choice but to trust people who can pull her out of this legal trouble. “And with all the corruption in the town, she’s like, ‘I have to be aligned with people who might have pull.’ So, at this point, she’s so desperate to have a dog in this fight that she’s like, ‘Well, I’d rather keep him close to me in case he can actually pull off a miracle,” the star added.
“That’s the better option for her than making an enemy of him, because she believes that Drew kind of always gets what she wants at the end of the day. If she keeps him close, she can have access to his help when she needs it, and she can also kind of monitor him. That’s better than burning the bridge,” MacMullen further stated.
All Willow wants to do right now is to escape this situation and regain custody of her kids, Wiley and Amelia. Thus, she has to bank on Alexis and Drew to help her achieve that. Furthermore, the identity of Drew’s real shooter remains a mystery.
