Dancing with the Stars Season 34 Dedication Night has a surprise ending
In a surprising twist, Dancing with the Stars Season 34’s October 14 episode, “Dedication Night,” did not see any eliminations.
The theme of the episode was for the celebrity contestants to honor their loved ones through their dance performances. Additionally, for the first time in the show’s history, the person they dedicated their routines to joined them on stage, enhancing the performances’ emotional impact. Furthermore, two-time Dancing With the Stars champion Kym Johnson joined the judging panel this week.
Contestants chose to honor their family members, friends, and even their co-stars. It was a particularly emotional episode, with contestants like Irwin breaking down during his performance, which he dedicated to his mother, Terri Irwin.
Though none of the contestants were eliminated this week, judges still scored their performances. By the end of the night, the reality TV star, Dylan Efron, and his dance partner, Daniella Karagach, scored the highest with 36 points out of 40. They performed to “Rewrite the Stars” by Zac Efron & Zendaya, and dedicated their performance to his younger sister, Olivia.
