General Hospital fans say Nancy Lee Grahn had a ‘right to express her opinion’
The ordeal started with an Instagram post from General Hospital star Nancy Lee Grahn, where she wrote, “I am not in support of what happened to Charlie Kirk, but Charlie Kirk was in support of what happened to Charlie Kirk,” referencing Kirk’s infamous comments and support for gun ownership.
But many hit back at the General Hospital actress for this post, with negative comments pouring in. “You have hate in your heart. Sad,” one user wrote in the post. Another user said, “What if it was someone you loved? Have a heart.”
Things escalated further when one user started a debate on Facebook’s General Hospital Fans page. The user wrote, “It is so sad that Nancy Lee Grahn has so much hate in her heart to celebrate the death of a wonderful man, father, husband, philanthropist!! She needs to be fired, IMMEDIATELY! Period!! At least Stephen A Smith is speaking out!! I have been watching this show for 30 years and am just disappointed so much that I will no longer be a viewer!!”
However, fans of the actress also stepped up to defend her. “No Political Posts Requested Nor Wanted,” one user wrote, while another added, “Lmao people have their own opinion. but it’s ok don’t watch.” Another user added, “The beauty of this being America, is that we all (Nancy included) are allowed to have our opinions…I for one completely and wholly agree with Nancy.”
