If you’re heading to theaters for The Naked Gun reboot, you’re probably wondering if there are post-credits scenes and whether it’s worth staying after the credits begin to roll. With legacy sequels now embracing Marvel-style bonus footage, fans are eager to know how any end-credits scenes stack up in the 2025 reboot of the classic spoof franchise.

How many post-credits scenes are in The Naked Gun?

There is one post-credits scene in The Naked Gun.

But unlike many filler end-credit clips, this one is worth the wait. The scene ties back to earlier moments in the movie and adds an extra punchline for those who followed the chaotic ride of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. from start to finish.

In the film’s post-credit scene, the future of Police Squad is assured as Police Chief Davis acknowledges their work. After this, Frank and his love interest, Beth, are seen enjoying their time at a tropical resort with some of the other members of Police Squad. Frank and Beth toast their newfound happiness by the pool, and the shot freezes frames in a classic style as the remainder of the credits begin to appear on screen. However, after a brief moment, it becomes apparent that Frank and Beth have remained unfrozen while everything around them has stopped. The two then hilariously begin trying to interact with their surroundings, trying to figure out what has happened. The scene ends when Frank notices the audience, walks toward the screen, and punches it out.

Critics have already responded positively to the film. With a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, The Naked Gun appears to be a strong revival of the classic franchise.

Directed by Akiva Schaffer, The Naked Gun marks the fourth installment in the comedy franchise. It also serves as a legacy sequel to 1994’s Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult. With Liam Neeson stepping into the shoes of the iconic Frank Drebin Jr., fans can expect plenty of laughs and a fun-filled experience.

The film stars Liam Neeson as the bumbling but lovable Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. It also features a star-studded supporting cast, including Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston.

The Naked Gun premiered at New York’s SVA Theater on July 28, 2025. It will hit theaters across the U.S. on August 1, 2025.
