The latest episode showcased Lily and Damian getting together. Cane enquired whether they are together, and Lily confirmed their relationship. Cane decided to back off and demanded to have a word with Damian alone. Later, Amanda asked Lily if Damian was someone she was leveraging to get Cane out of the way, but she dodged the question, asking Amanda why she was defending Cane. Amanda replied that she did not like the fact that, apart from Phyllis, no one was trusting him.
On the other hand, Cane and Damian decided to bond over drinks. Cane opened the bottle and poured drinks for both of them. While he gave Damian and Lily’s relationship a go-ahead, saying he doesn’t mind them getting together, he does ask Damian not to hurt her. Damian, after assuring him he won’t, began to feel a bit dizzy. Although Damian puts the blame on Cane for mixing something in his drink or poisoning him, Cane pointed they both drank from the same bottle. Soon, Cane also started feeling unwell and they both decided to leave.
Later, a mysterious person is seen wearing gloves and arriving with a knife. The attacker is then shown throwing a knife at Damian’s back, and he collapses into Cane’s arms. Damian is dead, and Phyllis is shocked to see his condition. She intensely stares at Cane, seemingly suspecting him of the act. There are chances Cane killed Damian due to the latter’s bond with his ex-wife. He might have also asked his assistant, Carter, to do it on his behalf. Actor Vincent Stalba, who plays the character, describes him as “loyal” to his boss, and “cold, menacing, robotic, very polished, and professional.” So, there are chances he might have killed Damian for Carter.
