The second season of the show is currently ongoing, and it should be clear before long whether the series will return for a third season.
Is Poker Face Season 3 canceled or renewed by Peacock?
Poker Face has neither been renewed nor canceled for Season 3. However, it seems likely that the show will return for a third season. Of course, a large part of that depends on the viewership. Networks have canceled excellent shows in the past because not enough people were watching them.
But Poker Face boasts great ratings. Moreover, the showrunner already seems to have plans for a third season. Though not directly confirmed, the showrunner revealed his ideas for a third season in previous interviews.
In an interview with The Direct, for instance, showrunner Tony Tost spoke about the dream guest stars he would like to bring in for Season 3. He said, “Well, for me personally, Cissy Spacey, who is on my T-shirt… Getting someone like Paul Walter Hauser, Jon Bernthal. There’s a bevy of interesting people to get… Sam Rockwell, Benicio Del Toro would be interesting. Yeah, there are a lot of people, anyone with a very unique perspective on the craft or on life, is someone I think that fits really well in this world.”
He also discussed plans for a third season in an interview with ScreenRant. With these hints, it seems that the team behind Poker Face is indeed envisioning a third season. Fans of the series will be more than pleased if it happens.
