Taylor Swift 4chan theory resurfaces in 2025
An old theory, which suggested that the “Bad Blood” singer has been an active user on the 4chan website, has resurfaced on social media.
The theory was refueled after the 4chan website was reportedly hacked recently. This caused data like the site’s source code, names of the moderators, and backend systems to appear online. Furthermore, after the alleged hack, users couldn’t access the site as it was unable to load.
Netizens then started to assume that Taylor Swift might be a user on the 4chan website in the early 2010s. Moreover, a collage of screenshots presented as evidence of Swift’s alleged presence on the website was also shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Additionally, according to a report by Indy100, some instances of activity from the site collected by users online suggest that Swift might be using 4chan. The theory first surfaced after she revealed her cat, Meredith, to the world in November 2011.
However, what caught the fans’ attention was that this revelation came a day after an anonymous 4chan user sought the help of users on the image-based platform to name their cat, and one of the suggestions was Meredith.
Another evidence that suggested Taylor Swift was secretly using 4chan was when a forum on the website claimed that they had interacted with a singer on Omegle, who disclosed that they were on 4chan. Though the forum didn’t reveal the singer’s name, users online started assuming that the singer was Swift.
Furthermore, some users found some similarities between the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker’s photos and the ones that they saw on 4chan. This led to many people comparing the photos to figure out whether Swift is a user.
That said, all these are mere speculations, as Taylor Swift has confirmed nothing about being a 4chan user.
