Kannappa teaser release date announced

It has been a while now since fans have been waiting to catch a glimpse of Kannappa. As a result, Vishnu Manchu recently announced that a glimpse of the movie will be unveiled in a few days. The makers have chosen a special occasion to reveal the teaser: the celebrated Cannes Film Festival.

The teaser will be released on May 20, 2024 at Cannes Film Festival 2024. Along with a new poster, the announcement read, “Can’t wait to show you all The World Of Kannappa on the 20th May. Launching it in ‘Cannes Film Festival.'”

Helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the movie’s lead, Vishnu Manchu wrote the film. Besides him, the movie also stars Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and more in crucial roles.

In the latest update, Prabhas has joined the film’s shoot. As Vishnu Manchu has been dropping information on a regular basis, he unveiled a new poster of the same. He further wrote, “My brother joined the shoot. Prabhas.”

Earlier, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar joined the movie’s shoot in Hyderabad. The actor will allegedly play the role of Shiva in the upcoming movie.

Talking about his plans for the film, Manchu told Variety, “What was Kannappa before he became a devotee? It’s just a one-liner. So, I thought, why not recreate the world of Kannappa? Why don’t we transport them to a world in the second century and that’s how this whole thing came into play. The visuals and the world we’re taking people in to, it is brilliant.” It will be interesting to see how this ambitious vision unfolds on screen.
