Aditya Roy Kapur’s much anticipated movie, Metro In Dino, has finally locked in its release date after much speculation. Directed by Anurag Basu, Metro In Dino is a standalone sequel to Basu’s 2007 hit Life in a Metro. Much like its prequel, Metro In Dino promises to be an exploration of modern relationships and love in an urban setting.
Metro In Dino boasts an ensemble cast with supremely talented actors at its helm. Besides the lead, Aditya Roy Kapur, there are Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Each actor is known for their unique talent and charisma. It is expected to further add to the story with their performance.
When is Metro In Dino releasing?
Metro In Dino was initially announced in December 2022, but it faced multiple delays before finally confirming the date. The release was initially planned for September 13, 2024. However, it has been pushed to November 29, as confirmed by the makers. The lead actor, Aditya Roy Kapur took to his Instagram account to share the news with his fans. He posted a collage with the entire cast along with the release date in the caption. He wrote in the caption, “Get ready for a journey through urban romance like never before! #Metro… इन दिनों in cinemas on 29th November 2024.”
The film also marks the first on-screen collaboration between Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan. Aditya’s last appearance was in Gumraah while Sara recently appeared in two releases, Murder Mubarak and Ae Watan Mere Watan.
Speaking about the film, Anurag Basu recently said, “Metro In Dino is a tale of the people and for the people! It has been a while since I am working on this one. The storyline is very fresh and relevant, and I look forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them.”
