Carrie-Anne Moss is playing Jedi Master Indara in Star Wars: The Acolyte.
The Matrix and Jessica Jones actress is playing Jedi Master Indara in The Acolyte, according to Comicbook.com. As revealed in the recently released trailer, Moss’ Indara appears to be a Jedi with formidable skill, easily holding her own in a duel against Mae (Amandla Stenberg), a former Jedi Padawan who has become a dangerous warrior.
However, the extent of Indara’s role in the series remains to be seen. One can only know for sure once The Acolyte hits Disney Plus.
As revealed in the trailer, Indara will find herself in a dangerous situation alongside her fellow Jedi, including Master Sol, when a mysterious assassin begins slaying Jedi one by one.
According to the official Star Wars website, The Acolyte is set during the High Republic era at a time when the Jedi Order were in their prime. Moreover, the story is confirmed to take place in the waning days of the era, approximately 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
The Acolyte will see a respected Jedi Master (Lee Sung-jae) go against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). This confrontation will come due to an investigation of a shocking crime spree. Furtermore, the two travel down a dark path when more clues about the crime spree investigation emerge. They will come across sinister forces who reveal all is not what it seems.
The Acolyte is set to premiere its first two episodes on June 4, 2024. The first season will consist of eight episodes.
