Is there a Rebel Moon Part 3 planned?
A Rebel Moon 3 is not only planned but is actively being worked on by Zack Snyder.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2023, Zack Snyder confirmed that he was working on a Rebel Moon 3, which would be the second installment in the franchise following Rebel Moon: Part One – A Child of Fire, which released in December 2023, and the upcoming Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver, which is set to hit Netflix in April 2024.
Zack Snyder is currently in a partnership with Netflix, which include projects such as Army of the Dead and the Rebel Moon franchise. In the case of the former, he has already produced Army of the Dead and the prequel Army of Thieves. He is currently working on the first Army of the Dead sequel Planet of the Dead and the TV series Army of Thieves. Interestingly according to Snyder in a 2023 TotalFilm interview, both film franchises share the same universe.
How many parts will Rebel Moon have?
Zack Snyder has said that Rebel Moon will have at least four to five parts.
In an interview with Total Film on November 2023, Snyder confirmed that Rebel Moon would have a “trilogy of sequels.” The Man of Steel director also mentioned that he knows how the franchise will end its story.
Snyder’s comment about a trilogy of sequels implies three more sequels to the first two-part Rebel Moon film, including the third installment that he is currently working on and two more films, thus totaling five parts.
