Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg are producing the film, with Simarpreet Singh serving as director and Sandeep Jain, Harman Wadala, and Ranjan as writers. Some reports published in 2015 state that Wild Wild Punjab was supposed to be Ranjan’s first foray into production, but the project was temporarily shelved following the release of Udta Punjab, starring Shahid Kapoor (2016), as the producers didn’t want to put out another film with themes closely associated with Punjab that soon.
