As both of them encounter additional parasites, they capitalize on their unusual condition and gradually create a close friendship, working together to survive.
Due to the fact that Shinichi’s human brain is still intact, it gives them an advantage over other parasites. Eventually, he is driven to battle other parasites that devour people as nourishment, and he enlists Migi’s assistance in doing so.
