Star Wars Mace Windu Series: Will Samuel L. Jackson Return?

Star Wars fans are curious to know whether a Mace Windu series is happening on Disney Plus and if Samuel L. Jackson will return as the straight-laced Jedi master in it. Here is all you need to know.

Is a Star Wars Mace Windu series happening?

A Star Wars Mace Windu series is not confirmed to be happening as of this writing.

However, in a new interview with Empire Magazine, in celebration of 25 years of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Samuel L. Jackson, the actor behind Mace Windu, not only strongly claimed that Mace Windu was not dead but that he also wanted a Disney Plus series to be made centered around the character.

As fans know, Samuel L. Jackson’s Mace Windu seemingly met his demise towards the end of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, after he was betrayed by Anakin Skywalker who helped Palpatine kill him.

However, there is a good chance that he could have survived as he was just simply shot out of a window and neither shown dying nor was his body ever seen or found. As such, there is ample room for a series to be made around him, set after the events of Episode III and around the same timeline as the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus series.

Moreover, Asajj Ventress’ confirmed survival in the newest season of The Bad Batch despite her death in the canon Dark Disciple comic renders the notion that no one is really dead in the Star Wars universe unless their body is found or they are shown being killed.

Will Samuel L. Jackson return as Mace Windu?

Samuel L. Jackson’s return as Mace Windu is unconfirmed as of this writing.

Though the Mace Windu series and Jackson’s return are not confirmed, it seems the 75-year-old actor wants it as much as the fans do.

In entertainment elsewhere, The White Lotus Season 3 begins filming in Thailand. Also, here is The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live trailer.
