Who is the Wolverine Patch variant in the Deadpool 3 trailer?
Patch, aka Wolverine, from the Deadpool 3 trailer is inspired by the comic miniseries titled “Wolverine: Patch” that began in 2022.
Larry Hama’s Wolverine: Patch storyline sees a past era of Logan where he operated in the corrupt nation of Madripoor. Since he wore an eye patch in hopes of not being recognized, the locals began to call him “Patch”. The cover image of Wolverine: Patch (2022) features Logan sporting a white tuxedo, which a variant of Wolverine also wears in the Deadpool 3 trailer.
Looking at him, Wolverine fans have been left with the following questions:
- Does this variant also wear the eye patch?
- Is this variant the same as Hugh Jackman’s main Wolverine who shows up in his yellow comic-accurate suit?
- Does someone else play Patch in Deadpool 3?

Is Daniel Radcliffe playing Patch in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Daniel Radcliffe is rumored to cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. So, he may play the Patch variant in the film.
As per familiar scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Hugh Jackman does not play the white-jacket variant, who will likely sport an eye patch. So, we can be sure that this variant is different than the one who interacts with Deadpool in his yellow suit.
Upon closer inspection, he seems to be shorter and skinnier than Hugh Jackman. So, it could be Daniel Radcliffe playing the part. Considering that the Harry Potter star has already been rumored to appear in Deadpool 3, and he has been fan-cast as Wolverine plenty of times in the past, he could be playing Patch. But nothing is confirmed at the moment, so take it with a grain of salt!
