Will There Be a Royal Pains Season 9 Release Date & Is It Coming Out?

Created by Andrew Lenchewski and John P. Rogers, Royal Pains is a medical comedy-drama series. The plot revolves around Dr. Henry ‘Hank’ Lawson, a New York E.R. doctor, whose promising career suddenly comes to a halt when he is unfairly blamed for the death of a hospital benefactor. After saving a person’s life during a trip to the Hamptons, Hank agrees to become a “concierge doctor” and moves to the resort community with his brother, Evan. The series premiered on USA Network on June 4, 2009, with season 8 airing from May 18, 2016, and July 6, 2016. If you are wondering whether there will be a Season 9 of Royal Pains, this is what we have discovered.

Here’s all we know about Royal Pains Season 9 and whether or not it’s coming out.

Is there a Royal Pains Season 9 release date?

There is no Royal Pains Season 9 release date as the show came to an end after eight seasons.

In March 2016, it was announced that the eighth season of the series would also be its last. Chris McCumber, who was the president of the NBCUniversal Entertainment Networks at the time, said in a statement, “Under the direction of talented showrunners Michael Rauch and Andrew Lenchewski, our entire ensemble cast led by Mark Feuerstein, and amazing crew, Royal Pains took viewers on a remarkable, unforgettable journey for eight wonderful seasons. While summer in the Hamptons may never be the same, this last season promises to be an epic ride.”

In their own statement, series co-creator Andrew Lenchewski and showrunner Michael Rauch confirmed that Royal Pains was ending. “It’s with great sadness, but even greater thankfulness, that we prepare for our final summer sunsets as Royal Pains comes to an end,” the statement said. “We couldn’t have imagined a more talented and dedicated writers’ room, cast, or crew, and we couldn’t have asked for better partners than USA Network and Universal Cable Productions,”

The cast includes Mark Feuerstein as Dr. Henry ‘Hank’ Lawson, Paulo Costanzo as Evan Roth Lawson, Reshma Shetty as Divya Katdare, Jill Flint as Jill Casey, Brooke D’Orsay as Paige Lawson, Ben Shenkman as Dr. Jeremiah Sacani, Campbell Scott as Boris Kuester von Jurgens-Ratenicz, and more. The series also stars Timothée Chalamet and Ezra Miller.

Why Royal Pains Season 9 isn’t happening

Royal Pains Season 9 isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, the series ended after eight seasons. ComingSoon will provide an update if the circumstances change.

The official synopsis for Royal Pains reads:

“A young E.R. doctor who, after being wrongly blamed for a patient’s death, moves to the Hamptons and becomes the reluctant ‘doctor for hire’ to the rich and famous. When the attractive administrator of the local hospital asks him to treat the town’s less fortunate, he finds himself walking the line between doing well for himself and doing good for others.”
