Familiar scooping handle on X, Unlimited L’s reported that the Golden Globe-winning actress Ayo Edebiri could be the replacement for Johnny Depp in Pirates 6. This tweet got major traction as Elon Musk shared it through his X account.

In the past, Johnny Depp showed unwillingness to be back as Jack Sparrow, but recent rumors have suggested that he regained interest in reprising the role. Furthermore, DanielRPK also weighed in on Unlimited L’s report.

As per his sources, which have proven to be credible quite often, Ayo Edebiri is not replacing Depp. She may not even be in Pirates 6, as her rumored character “Anne” would be a part of the Pirates spin-off that’s under development besides the 6^th installment.

Since the above scoop hasn’t been officially confirmed by Disney, it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. But with the Pirates franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer willing to work with Depp again, the hopes of his comeback may not be lost after all.

Is Ayo Edebiri the lead in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 with Margot Robbie?

As per reports, Ayo Edebiri is rumored to be considered for a Pirates of the Caribbean spin-off but it isn’t the same movie as Margot Robbie’s, and it isn’t POTC 6 either.

It has been known for a while that Disney is developing Pirates of the Caribbean 6 and a spin-off alongside it. Whether Margot Robbie appears in the 6^th film remains to be seen. But, as per Daniel Richtman’s above tweet, Ayo Edebiri’s movie is different from Robbie’s supposed outing. It is a spin-off and not Pirates 6.
