Is Batman going to be in Superman: Legacy?

James Gunn, the co-CEO of DC Studios and the writer and director of Superman: Legacy, stated that Batman will not be appearing in the film via Threads. This was in response to a fan asking why Batman could not appear and whether or not the Dark Knight would appear in any other DC production before his solo outing The Brave and the Bold.
Superman: Legacy is also set to start its production in March and the DCU’s Batman has not yet been cast as of writing. So, an appearance from the Caped Crusader in the film does not seem possible.
However, even if the character does not appear, there is a slight chance that Gunn could refer to him via an easter egg or a passing mention. As the rumored plot of Superman: Legacy suggests, Clark Kent will be an emerging superhero in a world where superheroes are already a thing, implying that Batman already exists even in the earlier years of Superman’s career.
Then again, Batman not appearing in the film is a logical move on Gunn’s part as the character’s appearance could disrupt Superman’s arc in the film or even take the spotlight away from the confirmed heroes in the film such as Guy Gardner and Mister Terrific.
