The full title of the anime is Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside. It is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo. The plot revolves around Gideon Ragnason, a former member of the hero’s party. He also happens to be the brother of the said hero. Despite this, he is thrown out of the group. Quietly accepting the decision, he goes to a borderland town and sets up an apothecary shop.
