What happened at the end of Reacher Season 2 Episode 6?
Reacher season 2 episode 6 ended with Guy Russo getting shot trying to save Marlo’s daughter from guns for hire.
While Reacher and his crew tried to lure in Shane Langston through Marlo, Detective Russo tried to skip town with Marlo’s daughter to stay safe at his cousin’s place. But as Reacher got into a tussle with Langston and his men, Detective Marlo was also attacked by another crew presumably hired by Langston at the same time.
Reacher sent Neagley, Dixon, and O’Donnell to provide backup to Russo while he took on Langston on his own. He successfully took down Langston’s men but a chopper flew in to save the big bad. While Langston escaped, Russo made a stand against the three hired guns that were shooting at him. He managed to take down two of them and got shot twice in the process.
The third goon was taken down by Neagley, Dixon, and O’Donnell, and Marlo’s daughter survived without harm. But the same cannot be said for Russo.
Did Russo die in Reacher Season 2 Episode 6?
Reacher Season 2 Episode 6 ended by implying that Russo died after being shot twice. But there is a chance for his survival.
In what seemed to be his final moments, Russo held Neagley’s hand and stared at her with dead eyes as if he was losing consciousness. An ambulance had already been called in. But the way things ended with Russo, it’s highly likely that he will not make it.
The next episode could show the ambulance arriving on time and transferring Russo to a nearby hospital. That way, Russo could make a comeback while healing in the hospital towards the end. But in the situation he was last seen in, it’s also possible that he will be killed off to raise the stakes and motivate Jack Reacher even further. It’ll be interesting to see what episode 7 has in store for the viewers.
