Higuruma curses because he lacks experience on the battlefield. Sukuna notices that everyone’s cursed energy strengthening technique has improved greatly, including Yuji’s training. With Kusakabe’s Simple Domain, he lessened the effect and damage of Sukuna’s attack.
Kusakabe curses because he almost died. He also realizes that all of Sukuna’s slash attacks aren’t the type that “cuts the world.” While thinking about Sukuna’s cleave and dismantle, Kusakabe is wondering why Sukuna didn’t use his fire attack which was strong enough to exorcise Jogo. He then thinks it’s not worth analyzing it right now and settles with the assumption that Sukuna can’t use that specific attack right now.
Higuruma apologizes, mentioning that even though Sukuna has the death penalty, Confiscation is only for his cursed tool. Kusakabe attempts to motivate Higuruma and says they can finish Sukuna off with Higuruma’s sword and Kusakabe will protect Higuruma even if it means death for him.
Choso tries to hit Sukuna, but Sukuna disappears from sight and attacks Choso. Ino then attacks with Nanami’s blade. Sukuna commends the strong attack, but still sends Ino flying. Yuji and Kusakabe attack together, with Higuruma using the Executioner’s Sword. However, Sukuna avoids the attack and beats Higuruma.
Yuji tries to catch up to them while someone yells not to leave Higuruma alone, but Sukuna is too fast. Sukuna cuts the building Higuruma is in.
A flashback shows Yuji saying Higuruma’s Cursed Technique will help save Megumi. Higuruma says anyone cut by the Executioner’s Sword will die, but the death is for the one who received the death penalty. Since Judgeman can see if there are multiple souls in a person, they can kill Sukuna once he gets the death penalty and save Megumi at the same time.
Yuji asks Higuruma if he wants to die since he can’t use Reverse Curse Technique, but he still wants to fight Sukuna. Higuruma believes he has a role to fulfill and then die. Yuji tries to make him change his mind but fails.
Going back to the present, Higuruma survives the slash attack. Sukuna realizes Higuruma used Domain Amplification to lessen the damage. The narration says it’s been less than two months since Higuruma became a sorcerer. Sukuna was fascinated by his growth and sword. The sword is lit up and Sukuna compares Higuruma to Gojo as a gemstone full of talent.
