Are Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon & Army of the Dead in the Same Universe?

Fans want to know whether or not Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead films are set in the same universe. Here is all you need to know.

Are Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead in the same universe?

Yes, Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead are set in the same universe.

Zack Snyder confirmed that the upcoming Rebel Moon films and his Army of the Dead franchise are set in the same shared universe in a new issue of Total Film. He revealed in the interview that Army of the Dead had a vast mythology planned to be showcased in the film, but never made it into the final version.

Moreover, Snyder revealed that the Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead connection would have been revealed in the Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas series, which was supposed to hit Netflix immediately after Army of the Dead and Army of Thieves but did not as it was uncompleted at the time.

Not only that, Zack Snyder also revealed how the connection would take place. He revealed that at one point in Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas, the core characters would go through a portal into another dimension and come across characters from that dimension. Snyder then revealed that one of the aliens seen in Rebel Moon is from the Army of Dead: Lost Vegas series.

It is interesting how the Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead franchises are connected as they both tackle different genres, the former cementing itself in the sci-fi epic space opera realm akin to Star Wars and the latter being a zombie apocalypse movie. However, Army of the Dead does seem to have certain elements of sci-fi in it, as certain zombies in it seem to be robotic.

For more Rebel Moon content, here is the theatrical release timeframe of the film and the cities that will show the film in theaters. Also, here is an update on the SAG-AFTRA strike.
