At a press event in November 2023, Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max, unveiled the networks’ 2024 slate and announced that the fourth and final season of My Brilliant Friend would be released in the summer of 2024. Unlike the American projects, My Brilliant Friend will probably not be impacted by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike and will come out as scheduled.
