Amy Gravitt, the executive vice president of HBO and HBO Max comedy Programming, said in a statement, “We’re thrilled to announce the third season of the honest and impactful Somebody Somewhere. Nothing makes us smile quite like this show, which never fails to remind us that life is made up of the small moments, that family can be chosen, and that dreams don’t have deadlines.”
The intermediate period between the Season 2 renewal and premiere was about 14 months. So, there is plenty of time before Season 3 can be designated as officially late. However, it’s safe to assume that the Hollywood strikes have had some impact on the production. If the SAG-AFTRA strike continues into 2024, it will likely cause production delays.
