Ahsoka episode 5 ending explained

Where is Ahsoka going with the Star Wars space whales?

Ahsoka is teaming up with the Purrgil to take a ride to Peridea.

After the titular heroine lost her battle with Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), who then destroyed the star map indicating the Pathway to Peridea, Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) needed to find another way to reach the distant galaxy and save Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo). That’s when the space whales seen in Ahsoka episode 3 and earlier in The Mandalorian season 3 came into play.

Thanks to their mysterious nature, the Purrgil can travel between galaxies. Using the Force, Ahsoka connected with one of the space whales (although it wasn’t mentioned, it looked like a Purrgil Ultra) that allowed the former Jedi and Huyang (David Tennant) to travel to the distant galaxy in its mouth.

When did the purrgil save Ezra?

The Purrgil saved Ezra in the battle against Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Jacen Syndulla (Evan Whitten) mentioned the Purrgil took Ezra Pound and Grand Admiral Thrawn (both have yet to make their live-action debut) far away, referring to what happened in the Star Wars Rebels finale.

Using the Force, Ezra convinced the Purrgil to launch a surprise attack on Thrawn’s fleet, allowing Ezra to escape with Thrawn aboard a stolen Imperial ship. This act of heroism by the Purrgil ultimately saved Ezra, besides ensuring the safety of his friends and the planet Lothal.

Ahsoka is currently streaming on Disney Plus. New episodes air on Tuesdays.
