Where Does The Nun 2 Fit in The Conjuring Universe Timeline?

With The Nun 2 finally heading into theaters, fans wonder where the Michael Chaves-directed movie fits into The Conjuring Universe timeline. As the evil entity Valak continues its reign of terror, connecting the dots between this demonic saga and the previous Conjuring films might not be easy. Here’s what you need to know. No worries, there are no spoilers.

When does The Nun 2 take place?

The events of The Nun 2 take place in 1956.

As it has been widely promoted, The Nun 2 takes four years after Sister Irene’s (Taissa Farmiga) first encounter with Valak (Bonnie Aarons). This time, Sister Irene will team up with Sister Debra (Storm Reid) to take on the old enemy, hoping to prevent Valak from taking over an all-girl boarding school in France.
