The Despicable Me 4 streaming release date is highly anticipated as it is the next film featuring the minions, and viewers are wondering when they can start streaming the animated movie.

After 3 Despicable Me and 2 Minions movies, Universal reunites Gru and the minions for another action-packed adventure. Here’s when the movie might be available to stream.

When is the predicted Despicable Me 4 streaming release date?

Based on past release patterns, the Despicable Me 4 streaming release date is predicted to arrive in late October or November 2024. However, this date isn’t confirmed yet.

The film is set to hit theatres on July 3, 2024. Considering that it is distributed by Universal, we can expect it to follow the same release pattern as The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Fast X. Both of those big-budget films had a 4-month “theatres to streaming” period. Super Mario hit theatres on April 5 and started streaming on Peacock on August 3, 2023. Meanwhile, Fast X released on May 19, and is scheduled to stream from September 15, 2023, onwards.

The film is set to bring Steve Carrell back as Gru. The actor confirmed that part 4 is a continuation of the story we’ve seen in the trilogy so far. He told Digital Spy:

“It’s a continuation of the story. Gru and Lucy are married; they’re a family at this point. It’s the next step in their world with the Anti-Villain League and how their kids are included in the whole process.”
