With Marvel shuffling its releases, the Deadpool 3 release date has become highly anticipated. It is arguably Phase 5’s biggest movie as not only does it put Deadpool and Wolverine together, but it also brings in several other characters from Fox’s past X-Men and Marvel movies.
So, here’s all the Deadpool 3 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.
Is there a Deadpool 3 release date?
The Deadpool 3 release date is predicted to arrive in the second half of 2024.
The film currently doesn’t have a release date as Marvel and Disney recently removed it from the original May 3, 2024 release slot. This happened because Deadpool 3 was on a tight schedule, but the SAG-Aftra strike halted its production. With a significant part of the film still left to be shot, the movie wouldn’t have been able to make its May 3 release.
So, there are a few possibilities for when Deadpool 3 could be released now. The first option for Marvel would be to move every upcoming movie to the next MCU release slot. In that case, Deadpool 3 would take the place of Captain America: Brave New World on July 26, 2024, and the latter will take Thunderbolts’ slot.
But if Deadpool 3 needs more time, then Marvel could give it Thunderbolts’ release slot of December 20, 2024, and push Thunderbolts and the rest of Phase 5 & Phase 6 movies ahead. Another possible option would be to slot it at its original release date of November 8, 2024, which currently sits vacant. Marvel could also give it a new release date between Captain America 4 and Thunderbolts.

Deadpool 3 is confirmed to star Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the lead roles. Other actors to appear are Stefan Kapičić, Jennifer Garner, Emma Corrin, Owen Wilson, and Karan Soni. But it is also rumored to bring back Ben Affleck, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden as their Fox Marvel characters.
