Andor Season 2 Release Date Rumors: When Is It Coming Out?

After the resounding success of its first season, Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Andor Season 2. The initial season provided viewers with an appreciated origin story of Cassian Andor, set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The excitement for the second season is understandable, but when can we expect it to hit our screens?

Here’s all the Andor Season 2 release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there an Andor Season 2 release date?

The Andor Season 2 release date is projected to be 2024.

While there is no official release date yet, sources suggest that Andor Season 2 could arrive sometime in 2024. Filming for the second season commenced on November 21, 2022, and was not affected by the WGA Writers’ strike in 2023 as the scripts were already completed. Principal photography is expected to wrap up by August 2023. However, the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike has significantly impacted production.

Initially, the series was reported to come out in late 2024, and it might still manage to meet that release window. However, if the strike continues for an extended period, the release could be pushed to 2025. We can cautiously expect the former scenario until further updates are provided.

ComingSoon will provide an update to this story once we receive official details.

In the upcoming season of 12 episodes, viewers will witness the next four years of Cassian Andor’s narrative unfold, leading up to his ultimate demise in Rogue One. Each year of his life between Andor Season 1 and Rogue One will be depicted in three episodes, showcasing the titular character’s fight against the Empire.

Diego Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor, and Stellan Skarsgård will return as rebel leader Luthen Rae. Other familiar faces include Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Denise Gough as Deedra Meero, Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha, Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz, Duncan Pow as Ruescott Melshi, Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Ben Chapman as the voice of B2EMO, and Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen.
