No, Geralt didn’t die in The Witcher season 3.

On the one hand, it was to be expected the protagonist of the series wouldn’t die with the show being renewed for another season. On the other hand, Henry Cavill is expected to handle the role of Geralt to Liam Hemsworth, and the story has to justify the change somewhy. Still, nothing happened yet. Cavill is still Geralt, even though Geralt has had a few rough days at the office in season 3.

Some main characters died, though, with Tissaia (MyAnna Buring) in front of them all.

Why did Tissaia die in The Witcher season 3?

Tissaia killed herself after Aretuza’s downfall in The Witcher season 3.

The character portrayed by MyAnna Buring was the most important loss in season 3. The former rector of Aretuza was first duped by her lover, Vilgefortz, who orchestrated all the bad things happening in season 3. She had also to witness the fall of her beloved magical academy despite her attempts to defend it from the Scoia’tael. Feeling guilty for what happened, Tissaia cut her wrists, leaving a letter to Yennefer and the others to explain the reason for her gesture.
