With the recent launch of its first trailer, fans have begun to wonder about the Lazarus release date. The sci-fi anime revolves around a miracle drug designed to cure all diseases, including cancer, but ends up becoming the doom of all.

Is there a Lazarus release date?
The Lazarus release date is expected to be 2024.
The first teaser of the anime was recently launched at the Adult Swim Festival “Toonami on the Green” event. It showed plenty of what’s to come in the anime but didn’t reveal its release date. However, it is expected to arrive sometime in 2024.

The main character involved in the sci-fi story is Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner, who has designed Hapuna, a drug that cures every major disease. The drama begins when he discovers that the drug kills every one of its consumers after three years.
The voice cast is yet to be announced. Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of the iconic anime series Cowboy Bebop, is bringing Adult Swim’s new Lazarus show. Another factor that makes it exciting is the involvement of John Wick director Chad Stahleski in designing its slick action sequences.
Where is Lazarus coming out?
Lazarus is expected to come out on Adult Swim.
The official synopsis of Lazarus reads:
“The year is 2052 – an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity prevails across the globe. The reason for this: mankind has been freed from sickness and pain. Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Dr. Skinner has developed a miracle cure-all drug with no apparent drawbacks called Hapuna. Hapuna soon becomes ubiquitous… and essential. However, soon after Hapuna is officially introduced, Dr. Skinner vanishes.
Three years later, the world has moved on. But Dr. Skinner has returned – this time, as a harbinger of doom. Skinner announces that Hapuna has a short half-life. Everyone who has taken it will die approximately three years later. Death is coming for this sinful world – and coming soon.
As a response to this threat, a special task force of 5 agents is gathered from across the world to save humanity from Skinner’s plan. This group is called “Lazarus.” Can they find Skinner and develop a vaccine before time runs out?”
