With the series already renewed for a third season, many fans are looking forward to Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3’s release date announcement. Strange New Worlds takes place ten years prior to Star Trek: The Original Series and features Christopher Pike’s adventures across space and time. With a strong 8.3 rating on IMDb and a 97% fresh critical score on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s understandable why so many fans of this series want it to keep going. But is there a release date for season 3 yet?

Is there a Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 release date?

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3’s release date could arrive by late-2024 or in 2025.

At the moment, the second season of Strange New Worlds has only launched five out of its ten scheduled episodes. The finale will air on August 17, 2023. After that, season 3 would have arrived 11-12 months later, similar to how season 2 arrived roughly 11 months after the first one ended. Season 3 was on track to be filmed in May 2023. But the WGA strike delayed its production indefinitely.

With no particular filming date planned, the principal photography could only begin after the strike. If it starts filming within the next 2-3 months (considering that the strike is lifted by then), we could expect a late 2024 release date for season 3. If not, then Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3’s release could also get pushed to early 2025.

Most of them are expected to continue in season 3 as well.
