Secret Invasion G’iah: Is She Alive in Episode 4?

Secret Invasion episode 4 was just released on Disney Plus, and it featured some pivotal information about the fate of G’iah, which was upended after being shot at the end of the last episode. Is G’iah still alive? If so, how’s that even possible? Here’s what you need to know, and beware of spoilers.

How is G’iah alive in Secret Invasion episode 4

Secret Invasion episode 4 confirmed G’iah is alive.

While G’iah (Emilia Clarke) was reached by a bullet to the heart, she did survive thanks to her healing powers. G’iah appeared to be dead at the end of episode 3 after being shot by Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir), who discovered she was the mole working for Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). Episode 4 showed she recovered from the bullet while an eerie red light healed her wound. G’iah then confronts her father about his naivety regarding humans.

What are G’iah’s healing powers?

G’iah appears to heal using the Extremis Virus.

In a flashback, Episode 4 showed G’iah undergoing the Extremis Virus treatment at some point to develop her healing powers. G’iah might actually be one of the so-called Super Skrulls, an enhanced version of the Skrulls. The Extremis Virus plays a significant role in the plot of Iron Man 3, where it is used by the main antagonist, Aldrich Killian, to create an army of enhanced soldiers and seek revenge against Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). Recently, it also appeared in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. It seems Skrull bodies can handle the virus better than human bodies, considering it also has the potential to cause severe side effects and even self-immolation in some cases.
