The movie opens with Owen (DeVine) and Parker (Nina Dobrev) planning their marriage. The couple was pleased when they heard Parker’s parents would make it to their wedding. Little they knew about Billy (Brosnan) and Lilly McDermott’s (Ellen Barkin) real job, robbing banks as the “Ghost Bandits.” Things take an ugly turn after the Ghost Bandits’ former partner in crime, Rehan (Poorna Jagannathan), finds out their location. Rehan kidnaps Parker and asks her former colleagues for the $5 million Billy and Lilly took away from her. During the events, Owen proves he’s a hero worthy of marrying Parker by robbing a bank and killing his fiancee’s kidnappers.

During their misadventures, Billy and Lilly cross paths with Roger Oldham (Michael Rooker), a detective who has been on the trail of Ghost Bandits for ages. Eventually, he managed to arrest them while Owen fled the crime scene after saving Parker. Even though Roger has been obsessed with the Ghost Bandits for years, he agrees to let them go handcuffed to their daughter’s wedding. Billy then had the traditional father-daughter dance while Lily danced with his son-in-law before heading to prison.
