Five years ago, Amaryllis and her friends tried to leave the island. However, the Master’s top guards, Kirisame and Moz, catch them. Kirisame petrifies everyone on the boat, but Amaryllis survives by narrowly avoiding the light. Due to Amaryllis’ story, Senku is happy to know there’s science behind the weapon, not magic. Amaryllis aims to get into the inner palace so that she can steal the petrification weapon.
Since Kohaku is the best bet for stealing the weapon, the group plans to give her a makeover to pass the selection. Senku says they need to get the lab, but Minister Ibara and his subordinates have taken over the ship. Ibara destroys Chrome’s statue, making Kohaku angry and rushing towards the ship. Kirisame appears, and she starts fighting Kohaku. Kohaku screams for the lab, confusing Kirisame. Gen pretends Senku is Kohaku’s boyfriend, Lab. Kirisame gets flustered and leaves.
Earlier that day, Ginro and Suika survive the petrification beam. Ginro returns to the ship and hides inside a barrel. After hearing Kohaku’s voice, he signals to Senku’s group. The group is unhappy to learn that Ginro is the one who survived. Suika creates a distraction to save Ginro from getting found out. She then figures out her next objective: getting the science lab with Ginro.
