New Lost in Random Trailer Flaunts Its Gothic-Inspired, Burton-Esque Story

Today, Electronic Arts and Zoink revealed a brand new trailer for its upcoming action-adventure game Lost in Random focusing on its dark story. As seen in the trailer below, we are brought to the Kingdom of Random, a place where everyone’s destiny is tied to the roll of the mystical dice controlled by the Queen. When it is Even’s sister Odd’s time to roll the dice, she is taken by the Queen herself. Odd, along with a sentient dice named Dicey, embark on an adventure to save her sister.

Eisner Award-winning writer Ryan North will be penning Lost in Random. He is known for his work on Adventure Time, Jughead, Dinosaur Comics, and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

The trailer also gives a taste of what to expect from its gameplay which looks very combat driven. We see Even and Dicey team up against several obstacles as they attempt to save Odd from the Queen. Visually, it appears to fit the mold of a gothic fairytale.

Lost in Random was revealed last year during last year’s EA Play showcase. It recently made an appearance during the Tribeca Games Festival. A specific release date has yet to be given, but it could potentially show up again during this year’s EA Play Live on July 22.
