Valorant trailer: Defy the limits in closed beta shooter
Riot Games has unveiled the first look at the upcoming free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter Valorant, which just launched its closed beta for players to get a feel for the game from the developer and publisher behind the acclaimed League of Legends series. The closed beta trailer can be viewed in the player below!
The closed beta is limited to players in Europe, Canada, Russia, Turkey and the United States, with Riot Games partnering with Twitch to ensure fans have access to the Valorant closed beta and has kept open the possibility to roll it out to other territories. Gamers in eligible territories just need to create a Riot account, if they don’t already have one, and link it to their Twitch account for entitlement to the closed beta.
Valorant is a competitive 5v5 character-based tactical shooter, set to launch in summer 2020, that sees precise and lethal high-fidelity gunplay with a diverse arsenal of guns, agents with unique abilities and competitively-tuned maps for thousands of hours of play. The free-to-play game is optimized to perform on a wide variety of PC hardware, allowing for a global audience to compete, and is supported by a best-in-class game server, global infrastructure and anti-cheat technology.
Players can choose from a diverse cast of supernatural, battle-ready agents from real-world cultures and locations, each of which bring a set of unique abilities that complement the game’s gunplay through tactical information and strategic support, offering a variety of ways for player to approach a situation, with the abilities designed to offer tactical opportunities for players to take the right shot.
Valorant‘s closed beta is currently available for PC players and is set to launch sometime this summer.
