Nintendo has revealed when the next Nintendo Direct will air. Penned as a Partner Showcase, the upcoming presentation will primarily feature third-party Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games. The best part is gamers won’t have to wait too long to see what the companies have in store for the handheld hybrid console.
When is the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
As revealed on Nintendo’s official X account, the next Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase will premiere tomorrow, July 31, at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET. It will run for around 25 minutes, giving gamers information on upcoming third-party games for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Specific details regarding the actual games that will be showcased is unknown.
While the actual games featured in the upcoming Nintendo Direct are unknown, there are enough known quantities to speculate about what could make an appearance. It’s essentially a joke at this point, but this could be the showcase where we finally get some tangible information about the follow-up to Team Cherry’s beloved metroidvania Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong. The highly anticipated game will be playable at Gamescom, so this presentation could be a good way to get people even more hyped.
Another possible reveal could be for the Nintendo Switch 2 release of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. It was revealed to come to the new console back in April. Tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct may reveal the release date for the port.
One of the most anticipated games for this year is Hades 2. The sequel to Supergiant Games’ award-winning roguelike has been in early access since last year and is confirmed for a Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 release. Getting a release date for the upcoming game would be a solid reveal for the showcase.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was released on June 5, 2025.
