Everything Shown at the Xbox Partner Preview

Xbox recently hosted its Partner Preview, showing some third-party games coming to the console. The event’s headliners were arguably Alan Wake 2 and the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake. However, those were hardly the only games that appeared during the livestream.

Yakuza Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

The showcase opened with a look at the Happy Resort DonDoko Island mode for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. This alternate mode sees Kasuga taking a break from the Yakuza lifestyle to manage the titular resort. Players can customize the island, decorate Kasuga’s house, and befriend NPCs while occasionally fighting off uninvited guests. Infinite Wealth launches on January 26th, 2024.

Ikaro Will Not Die

Next up was the announcement trailer for Ikaro Will Not Die. Developed by FuturLab, the upcoming action game combines gravity surfing movement martial arts combos. FuturLab hasn’t revealed much about the game but calls it a spiritual sequel to the studio’s Velocity series.

Still Wakes the Deep

The Xbox showcase continues with Still Wakes the Deep, a first-person survival-horror game arriving in early 2024. An oil rig struck something otherworldly in the North Atlantic, which seems to be driving workers mad. Players will need to survive the collapsing rig as they find a way to save themselves and their crew.

Robocop: Rogue City

Launching on November 2nd, Robocop: Rogue City sees the titular cyborg on a mission to take down the city’s newest gang leader. Teyon’s upcoming first-person shooter has all the gunfire and one-liners that fans expect from an 80s movie adaptation. Actor Peter Weller reprises his role as the cyborg policeman.

Dungeons of Hinterberg

Next was a showcase of Microbird Games’ Dungeons of Hinterberg, coming in 2024. This pastel-colored dungeon crawler sees protagonist Luisa dividing her time between action combat and befriending the locals. This specific trailer emphasizes the game’s social aspects and the perks players unlock by building relationships with NPCs.

Spirit of the North 2

Xbox’s Partner Preview included the announcement trailer for Spirit of the North 2. Players explore the ruins of an ancient world as a fox alongside their raven companion.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

The second half of the Xbox’s showcase begins with the first in-engine preview of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. A remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, it brings the mountains and jungle to life with Unreal Engine 5.

Manor Lords

Up next in the Xbox stream was the gameplay trailer for the historical RTS Manor Lords. Set in 14th-century Germany, the upcoming game combines detailed city-building with Total War-style battles. Developed by Slavic Magic, Manor Lords launches for PC on April 26th, 2024, with a console port in development.

The Finals

The Xbox showcase continued with the team-based multiplayer FPS The Finals. Players control contestants in a virtual combat game show, complete with announcers and a holographic crowd. The game features fully destructible environments and other mechanics to encourage emergent gameplay. While The Finals doesn’t have a release date, players can join the open beta starting today, October 26th.

Ark: Survival Ascended

Ark: Survival Ascended is a remake of the genre-defining Ark: Survival Evolved. The game is out now for PC, with an Xbox port in development.

Alan Wake 2

Finally, the showcase concluded with a trailer and extended look at Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2. Launching tomorrow, October 27th, the player switches between Alan and FBI agent Saga Anderson. The showcase included a few minutes of gameplay, showing Saga’s encounter with a supernatural horror.
