God of War Ragnarök's Photo Mode Update Out Now

God of War Ragnarök’s Photo Mode Update Is Out Now

God of War Ragnarök has finally gotten its first big update about a month after its historic launch. And as promised, this 3.00 patch implements the game’s Photo Mode.

Santa Monica Studio suddenly revealed this update’s existence as it went live on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The team took to the PlayStation Blog to speak about its Photo Mode and went over some of its many features. Players can activate it by hitting the Options button and then pressing Square (it doesn’t seem like there is a shortcut). As was the case for the Photo Mode in the last game, users can manipulate the camera, lighting, framing, saturation, depth of field, and more in the its vast array of settings. These were somewhat shown by modder Speclizer, as they were able to prematurely find its Photo Mode near launch.

The post made no note of future patches, and while players shouldn’t expect any DLC, it’s still possible this sequel will receive New Game Plus. The 2018 entry got hefty post-launch updates that added in Photo Mode and New Game Plus, but the latter feature did take four months last time around.

The rest of God of War Ragnarök‘s 3.00 patch notes are quite long and mainly full of various bug fixes. However, it also ensures that the PS4 version has better loading in specific instances.
