WrestleQuest Trailer Highlights What It Takes to Become a Legend

While WWE 2K22 and AEW: Fight Forever make for some of the bigger wrestling titles, there are still some wrestling games that have a smaller scope like WrestleQuest, which was announced earlier in the year. Skybound Games released a new trailer for its upcoming retro RPG that highlights the road to becoming a legend in the world of wrestling.

The latest video for the game is more of an introduction to its combat than anything, detailing how players will be able to perform different combos in the ring, build up a meter to hit special gimmicks, and perform tag team combos in order to take down their opponent. Of course, it wouldn’t be a wrestling game without the ability to cut promos, customize your walk-on music and entrance, and face off against some of the biggest names in wrestling as well.

This trailer still doesn’t have WrestleQuest‘s exact release date, but the title is still launching sometime this summer, and will be available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Described by Mega Cat Studios Founder James Deighan as “Toy Story with Lord of the Rings storytelling through the lens of the wrestling universe,” WrestleQuest will put players in the shoes of a young wrestling hopeful, who is on his quest to become one of the all-time greats.

The game will feature turn-based combat in the form of a wrestling match, and will act as a traditional role-playing game, including having players level up their abilities and find new items that help power them up along the way. WrestleQuest will also feature a star-studded cast of characters, including “Macho Man” Randy SavageBooker TAndre The GiantJake “The Snake” RobertsDiamond Dallas Page, and Jeff Jarrett, who are all of the confirmed wrestling legends so far.
