Everything Announced at the Annapurna Interactive Showcase 2022

Annapurna Interactive held another showcase detailing what it has in store for players. The stream announced a slew of ports, new games, and gave some studio updates, too. Here’s everything that was announced during the Annapurna Interactive Showcase 2022.

Thirsty Suitors

The game’s developers ran through this previously announced RPG, explaining its unconventional mechanics, South Asian influences, and more. It is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Switch in 2023. It will launch on Game Pass and currently has a demo up on Steam.

Hindsight

This melancholic game that explores a person’s life through objects got its release date and is coming to Steam, Switch, and iOS on August 4.

Cardboard Computer Dev Spotlight

The Kentucky Route Zero devs spoke vaguely about their next game, which will have some more comedic elements to it.

Bounty Star: The Morose Tale of Graveyard Clem

This new mech shooter is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2023. It will on Game Pass.

Yarn Owl Dev Spotlight

This small dev diary showed off a bit more of this team and its Zelda-esque game.

Outer Wilds Switch Update, PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Ports

The developer apologized for not having the Switch port of Outer Wilds out, but announced that PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game will be releasing on September 15 and will be a free upgrade. The game will also run at 60 frames per second on those newer consoles.

The Pathless, Maquette, and Solar Ash Ports

Giant Squid’s 2020 game The Pathless is coming to Xbox platforms and Switch in the winter. Maquette, the puzzle game starring Bryce Dallas Howard, is making its way to Xbox platforms and Switch this winter, too. It will also be on Game Pass. Solar Ash, the latest game from Heart Machine, will release on Steam on December 6 and will be on Xbox Game Pass in the winter. All three games were previously on PlayStation platforms and PC.

What Remains of Edith Finch Ports

This acclaimed narrative adventure is out now on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is a free upgrade but not for those who got it on PlayStation Plus. It runs at 4K at 60 frames per second.

Third Shift Dev Spotlight

Annapurna highlighted this small German studio and its game Forever Ago, a story-driven adventure starring an elderly man as he documents his road trip along the western United States.

Flock

This unique co-op title with a lot of animals is from Hollow Ponds and Richard Hogg, who both worked on Hohokum and I Am Dead. It is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and will be on Game Pass.

Hohokum Port

This unique 2014 title was announced for Steam and is on the platform right now.

Keita Takahashi’s New Game

Annapurna released a very brief trailer that teased Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi’s new game. Even the press release for the game had no information on it, so this one will be a complete mystery for the foreseeable future.

Dreamfeel Dev Spotlight

Annapurna highlighted this indie team based in Ireland and its game that stars a ton of cats. The team’s last game, If Found…, was critically acclaimed.

The Lost Wild

This new survival horror game from Great Ape Games looks to be an Alien: Isolation-esque game with dinosaurs. It will at least be on Steam for now and consoles will be announced later. The Steam page lists it as coming out in 2024.
