Horizon Forbidden West Trailer Features Carrie-Anne Moss & Angela Bassett

Horizon Forbidden West is just under a month away from release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. And even though Guerrilla Games has been open about some of the machines, the team hasn’t spoken much about the story or characters. Guerrilla not only just released a trailer that revealed some of those beats, but also went and confirmed that two high-profile actors were also in the game as well: Carrie-Anne Moss and Angela Bassett.

The game’s newest story trailer shows these two characters in action while a story from Game Informer confirmed the talent behind the voices. Carrie-Anne Moss, most known for her role as Trinity in the Matrix films and Aria T’Loak in the Mass Effect games, will be playing Tilda, the mysterious being at the end of the trailer. Bassett, famous for her role as Ramonda in Black Panther and frequent spots in American Horror Story, is playing Regalla, one of the main antagonists in the game. Neither speak in the trailer (Guerrilla confirmed that the voice at the end is GAIA, not Tilda) and the two are also only briefly shown. Regardless, it seems as through they’ll play a decent role in the game’s overall narrative.

These two sit on top of a few of the game’s returning cast members. Ashly Burch, who is one of the stars of Mythic Quest and the Borderlands series, is once again Aloy. Lance Reddick, who players might know as Cedric from The Wire and Charon from the John Wick franchise, reprises his role as Sylens, who can also be seen in the trailer.
