Avengers Game Offers First Look at Its Spider-Man

The Avengers game has been teasing Spider-Man for well over a year now. Crystal Dynamics recently revealed when Spidey was coming to the game, but didn’t show what he looked like (until this trailer that came out on November 11). But the studio has finally released the first image of its rendition of Spider-Man just about three weeks ahead of his release date.

The game’s official Twitter account tweeted the above key for the game, showing Spider-Man fighting alongside Ms. Marvel, Thor, and Iron Man. The suit has many classic features like the iconic red and blue color scheme as well as what appears to be the emotive eyes seen in the recent MCU films as well as Insomniac Games’ two Spider-Man titles. However, the spider logo on the chest is a little different and has legs that are just a little separated from the cephalothorax and abdomen. Crystal Dynamics has yet to show any alternate costumes. The key art even includes the logo for Spider-Man’s quest, which is fittingly called “With Great Power.”

This doesn’t show Spider-Man in action nor does it reveal what Peter Parker looks like, but that will all likely come in the full trailer that’s scheduled for November 11. No time was attached to the trailer so it’s still unknown when exactly it will premiere on Thursday.

The Spider-Man DLC for Avengers is still only currently slated for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and will be completely free. The expansion follows Peter Parker as he unveils one of AIM’s secret plots. He then apparently has to juggle his secret identity along with finding out how to work with others; something this lone wolf Spider-Man doesn’t usually do.
