Snoop Dogg: Dr. Dre Is Making ‘Great F-ing Music’ for Grand Theft Auto

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre were both on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas‘ licensed soundtrack, but now the two will allegedly be making music for the series. According to Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre is creating some “great fucking music” for Grand Theft Auto.

Snoop revealed this is in an interview with Rolling Stone through the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, which will be released online on November 3. Snoop also said he’d be on some of these tracks, too.

“I do know he’s in the studio,” he said. “I do know he’s making great fucking music. And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that’s coming out. So I think that that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game.”

Neither Rockstar Games nor Dr. Dre have commented on the matter. Rockstar has not even formally announced what it is creating aside from the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades of Grand Theft Auto V.

There are rumblings that the studio is developing Grand Theft Auto VI, which is said to be doubling on the Fortnite-esque live service model. However, those rumors pointed to Vice City being the setting, which is far from San Andreas and the region Dr. Dre is typically associated with (even though he could obviously produce music for games in other cities, too).

It’s also possible that these tracks could show up in Grand Theft Auto Online at some point if they aren’t for a new game. There are multiple ways this could take form as well as many ways this could be inaccurate or false so it’s best to wait for Rockstar to clear things up, which might take some time.

Rockstar has worked with rap artists and producers in the past, though. Oh No and The Alchemist both helped compose Grand Theft Auto V.
