Pokémon Legends: Arceus Teases New Pokémon in Creepy Found Footage Teaser

A brand new video for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus teases the introduction of a potentially new Pokémon.

In a brief video sent out on the official Pokémon Twitter account, footage shot by a researcher showcases a snowy landscape before he runs into a pack of Pokémon and is forced into a cave. From there, he stumbles upon a Pokémon that he describes as looking similar to a Growlithe and Vulpix, albeit with “round” and “yellow” eyes.

Before anything else happens, though, something seems to startle the researcher, and the video ends. Nothing in the video was concrete enough to show off what the new Pokémon could be, but if it looks anything like a Growlithe or Vulpix, it looks as if we’ll be getting another dog or wolf-like Pokémon introduced into the game.

“As a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team, players will visit Jubilife Village, a bustling settlement that serves as a base of operations,” a new synopsis for the game reads. “After receiving an assignment or a request, Trainers will set out from the village to study one of the various areas of the Hisui region. After they finish their survey work, Trainers return to Jubilife Village to prepare for their next task.

“Whenever Trainers leave Jubilife Village to set out on an excursion, their first stop will be one of the base camps that will serve as an outpost for their work. These base camps are more than just starting points—Trainers can stop for a rest during an excursion, letting their team of Pokemon recover their health, or use a base camp’s workbench to craft items.”

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is currently due to release on January 28, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch.
